Last winter season in 2015 has given very good yields in crop farming. Different crops had new record yields on national average. Wheat 3.610 kg per hectares, barley 3.828 kg per hectare and canola 1.561 kg per hectare. Also as a result of this the common rotation soy bean and wheat is no longer the most preferred combination for crop farmers in Uruguay.
