The results of crop year 2014/2015 are out for cultivation of soy beans.
1.46 Million hectares were planted with soy beans. This is slightly less than a year before, probably due to the lower commodity prices.
A total of 3.35 ton was harvested between April, May and June 2014. This leads to a national average yield of 2.300 kg per hectare. This is also slightly less than a year before. This is clearly a result of drought during the important stage of flowering of the plants in February.
The estimated export values are 1.180 Million USD whereas exports accumulated to 1.600 Million USD in 214.
