Good news and bad news for UAG. This international agricultural fund took over the Uruguayan operations of El Tejar and acquired 33.000 hectares arable land. The deal also includes over 30.000 hectares of rented land. An important development for this ambitious project. Shortly afterwards the company announced operational losses over 2013 that amount to 4,5 M USD. So far the company has been struggling to achieve operational profits from its activities.
