According to an article in the American Journal of Transportation a first shipping of Uruguayan certified meat entered US market last week. This beef meat is certified within the Never Ever 3 program of the US Department of Agriculture. It means beef is 100% free of antibiotics, growth hormones or animal by-products.
Uruguay is the only foreign country to receive the USDA’s Never Ever 3 designation. Given recent concerns regarding the health of processed meats, the Uruguayan delegation is optimistic that this new, natural product will be well received throughout the United States.
